1.) Too many Harsh chemicals

Have you ever gone through the ingredients list of the shampoo, conditioner or even the hair oil that you have been using unfortunately most major brands in India are making hair products which have too many cheap Harsh chemicals which provides short term shine but in the long run damage the hair.Oil for hair products which are free from sulphates, parabens, mineral oil, artificial fragrances and synthetic colours. Another ways to abstain from using too many products on your hair, if you do make sure to wash them off before going to sleep at night.

2.) Not oiling the scalp

Most youngsters these days avoid oiling their hair, never do this mistake oiling the hair has multidimensional benefits but you need to do it the right way. If you have oily scalp 1 to 2 times a week is good enough and if you have dry hair consider oiling 3 to 4 times a week for dry scalp prefer oiling at night and let it stay overnight where as if you have oily hair 1 hour before the wash will serve the purpose, using a warm oil and gently massage in the scalp in a circular motion instantly improve the blood circulation moreover the oil that you use makes a huge impact. If you are using perfume hair oil they will do more harm than good, always use 100% natural oil. Coconut oil is a multi purpose oil, if you are fighting dandruff- badam Rogan oil is best for you and if you have dry hair- mustard oil is ideal.

3.) Combing wet hair

Hair is most vulnerable when there wet. Deal carefully with wet hair or else you will have to pay the price whenever you are out of the shower let your hair dry a bet and then comb. Coming wet hair makes the hair brittle and which leads to breakage, also don’t vigorously done wet hair with the towel always gently tap to try them out. Some people go to sleep at night with wait here they should be avoided.

4.) Excessive heat

Excessive heat in any form is damaging for hair. Don’t  blow dry your hair on a daily basis,  do not use hot rod to straighten your hair, once a while is ok but do not make it a habit. No doubt vitamin D promotes hair growth but excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays of the sun sucks the much-needed moisture which makes the hair dry and frizzy. Avoid hot showers always wash your hair with freshwater.

5.) Stress

High Stress levels are very closely associated with hair loss. Stress increases the hormone called cotisol which feeds on protein. This protein in the body it is lost in the form of hair. Excessive use of social media,  heavy workload, pressure to excel in exams, emotional turmoil are some of the common reasons of increased stress levels. Give yourself a break, be with yourself, enjoy the nature sweat it out it helps a lot. So these were five worst habits that will damage your hair.
let’s talk about five best habits that you should cultivate for better hair health.

Best Hair care habits

1.) Balayam

The word Balayam come from the word baal and vyayam which literally translates to the exercise of hair, all you need to do is rub your nails together for 5-10 minutes daily. The nerves below the nail are connected to the scalp and regular nail rubbing stimulates blood flow and oxygen to the scalp. Balayam helps not only in hair growth but also reversing premature grey hair just one thing to keep in mind never do balayam after a meal always do it empty stomach.

2.) Proper nutrition

If the body is devoid of nutrients one thing it can afford to lose is hair. Body thinks that it can survive without a single hair on the head so it stop making hair and start taking care of other vital organs. These days fast food cola, artificial sweeteners and packed juices is a part of every teenagers diet. This should be controlled, hair strands are made up of protein. So you should include the daily dose of protein in diet. Paneer, pulses, lentils, soya chunks, eggs, chicken and fish are all high in protein. Healthy fats and omega 3 rich foods like almonds, cashews, walnuts and flaxseed should also be a part of daily diet. Iron found in green leafy vegetables, vitamin c found in Amla and lemon and B vitamins found in oats and other whole grains are very essential to prevent hair loss. Iron and vitamin c go hand in hand what I mean to say is that if you are consuming iron but not consuming vitamin c iron won’t  be absorbed in the body. So all we consume is healthy and a balanced diet.

3.) Body massage

Body massage and hair what’s the connection? Well the connection is deep and mostly neglected. Body massage not only improve the blood circulation but also balances the vaat tosha which according to Ayurveda is one of the major causes of hair loss. If you are regularly facing digestive issues like bloating or gas you are bound to lose hair and one of the most effective ways to release the excess gas from the body and balance the vaat tosha is body massage. However most people massage their body in a wrong way, while massaging the hand movement should be in the direction of heart for example if you are massaging neck it should be downwards and if you are massaging arms or legs it should be upwards. Massager body 2 to 3 times a week and you will be amazed to see the results on your head.

4.) Lifestyle

As a healthy lifestyle routine do not wash your hair with shampoo to often, 1 to 2 times a week depending on your hair type is good enough. Do not forget to condition the hair, conditioners are used to seal the moisture of hair. Missing this step could be the reason why your hair is frizzy. Comb your hair, not it just style your hair but also improve the blood circulation of the scalp. Do not touch your hair too often, this can transfer the germs from your fingertips onto the scalp.  Do not tie your hair too tight, it will put under pressure on the hair strands which can lead to breakage.

5.) Overall Nourishment

Take one tablespoon of coconut oil, add one teaspoon of aloe Vera gel, one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of lemon juice mix it well until it becomes a uniform paste applied on your hair is a mask and let it nourish the roots of your hair for about 20 to 30 minutes. Wash it off using a natural shampoo this simple hair treatment at home will repair your hair and make them grow faster.
